Plus if you are just riding along the coast you don't have to keep checking your map for your location which makes it easier to do something like watch tv or whatever while you do this. Basically spending more time traveling and less time actually fishing. I feel like other schools have higher drop rates of lunkers but I also thought that them being harder to locate and the downtime waiting for respawn would make them less efficient than sea scorpion. My strategy was to just follow the coastline and fish sea scorpion schools. Perhaps druid travel form would be tolerable. I had flying but if you don't, I suggest you use a character than has some form of waterwalking or can obtain lots of waterwalking potions. You do need to fish in pools for lunkers. First there will be a one-time quest for one of each lunker, then repeatable quests for each of the lunker types will become available. I actually did not assign Nat to the fishing shack right away when I unlocked him as follower but ensure that you do once he is available.įrom here on out you're after lunkers. You can catch the arcane trout at the nearest in-land body of water. It might be a trivial quest so may not appear on your minimap.

Once the upgrade is complete, you have to accept a quest from one of the NPCs at the shack. Once you have the angler achievement you can purchase the fishing shack blueprint and upgrade to level 3.
